Man United fans don’t want Martin Dubravka to play for club again after Burnley horror show
Manchester United fans are hoping Martin Dubravka has played his final game for the club after a horror show in goal against Burnley.
United won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford, the latter scoring a stunning solo goal to seal progression to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
But it wasn’t all positive as second-choice goalkeeper Dubravka had an extremely poor night in goal and was fortunate to keep a clean sheet.
United have signed the Slovakian on loan from Newcastle United, where he has played 130 times, to compete with David de Gea and Tom Heaton for the starting goalkeeper berth.
He made his debut in the previous Carabao Cup round against Aston Villa but on Wednesday night, he looked like he’d never played in goal before at times.
Nervy as ever playing out from the back whenever pressed, the 33-year-old very nearly scored TWO own goals.

In the 35th minute, he flapped at a cross from the right in a big way and after the ball bounced off Marcus Rashford, Dubravka palmed it back towards his own goal.
Thankfully his blushes were spared as both Casemiro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka got back in to make a goal-line clearance.
But he also had another moment to forget immediately after as when the ball was played back to him, Dubravka saw it roll under his foot after a poor miscontrol.

He then quickly reacted to stop the ball going in but it really wasn’t encouraging if you’re a United fan. Many don’t think he should wear a United shirt again and want him to head back to Newcastle in January.
One fan wrote: “Martin Dubravka should never wear a United shirt again. Absolute liability.”
Another said: “Martin Dubravka has done his absolute best tonight to ensure that he does not see another minute of first team action for Man Utd for the rest of his contract.”
A third added: “The decision to loan Martin Dubravka continues to baffle. Gift-wrapped Burnley’s most dangerous moments for them.
“It wouldn’t be a disaster if Newcastle pursue their option to recall him in January. Tom Heaton is a better goalkeeper.”
A fourth commented: “I mean, in the nicest possible way, Martin Dubravka is a walking disaster.”
A fifth opined: “Newcastle can have Martin Dubravka back.
A sixth weighed in: “Martin Dubravka surely played his last game for United. Loanee or not he was useless.”
Next up for United is a return to Premier League action on Tuesday when Jesse Lingard and Nottingham Forest come to town.
