Marcus Rashford nearly burst the net vs Arsenal with his best goal of the 22/23 season so far
Marcus Rashford really is a man in form right now.
Before the 2022 World Cup, the Manchester United forward was in supreme touch – and he’s only got better since the resumption of domestic football.
Rashford recently scored the Red Devils’ winner against Manchester City and against Arsenal on Sunday, he bagged arguably his finest goal of the 2022/23 campaign so far.
After a very bright start by the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium, the England international took full advantage of some poor play from Thomas Partey to fire United in front.
Rashford nutmegged Arsenal’s midfield enforcer, before taking aim from all of 25 yards out.
It was the sweetest of right-footed strikes from the Manchester-born forward and Aaron Ramsdale in goal stood absolutely no chance of saving the rocket of a shot.
To be honest, Arsenal could have had Matt Turner in goal alongside Ramsdale and the ball still would have nearly burst the net.

What. A. Goal.
At this point in time, Rashford is firmly among the best footballers in the world – and that is simply not up for debate.
He looks a completely different player to the one who appeared completely lost under the questionable leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
However, United’s lead in north London, given to them in sublime fashion by Rashford, didn’t last long.
Eddie Nketiah levelled things up seven minutes later with a textbook header after some great work in the build-up from Granit Xhaka.
When Arsenal click into gear, it really is a thing of beauty…

To say the Emirates is rocking these days would be something of an understatement.
And Nketiah isn’t doing bad as Gabriel Jesus’ replacement, is he? The young striker is surely on the verge of an England call-up.
