Darwin Nunez cheekily trolled by young Man Utd fan in prank
Despite often being the target of many rival fan’s jibes, since joining the club in a big-money switch last summer, the Uruguayan has endeared himself to the Anfield faithful with some impressive performances.
There’s no doubting that he’s a little rough around the edges, but still just 23-years-old, he has plenty of time to refine his game and become a leading Premier League striker.
He showed what he could in emphatic fashion against Newcastle United last Saturday, when he latched onto a beautiful ball over the top from Trent Alexander-Arnold and decisively fired home.
One thing’s for sure, when Nunez hits the ball, it stays hit.
But whilst Liverpool fans rate the star, he’s certainly an easy target for fans of rival clubs given his inclination for missing big chances – and so far this season in the Premier League, he’s missed more big chances than every other player but one.
VIDEO: Nunez cheekily trolled by Manchester United fan
The most recent turns of events that have seen fans poke fun at Nunez came in a video circulating on Twitter.
Footage shows Nunez kindly posing for a picture with a young boy wearing hoodie.
Although after having posed for what he thinks is a photo, the youngster gets his attention before whipping off his hoodie and revealing Manchester United’s third kit.
A shocked Nunez took it like a champ to be fair to him before walking out of the establishment. View the clip below:

Fair play to Nunez, he didn’t even look phased.
And in fairness, this innocent piece of fun was nothing like some of the trolling he has received online from various fan bases.
It’s credit to the young star that, despite the frequent criticism, he never hides in matches and continues to improve with each passing month.
