Man Utd fans spot Bruno Fernandes actions after Antony’s winner v Barcelona in fan footage

Bruno Fernandes inspired Manchester United to a famous 2-1 victory over Barcelona on Thursday evening.

The two teams arrived for the second leg of their Europa League play-off tie level after a thrilling 2-2 draw at Camp Nou.

And it was yet another feast of entertainment at Old Trafford, with United getting the job done in the second half.

Barcelona went in at the break 1-0 ahead thanks to Robert Lewandowski’s penalty, which actually came about due to a Fernandes foul on Alejandro Balde.

But in the second half, it was all about the hosts, with Brazilian duo Fred and Antony the team’s goalscorers.

Fernandes assisted Fred’s 49th minute strike, before playing a key role in the build-up to Antony’s winner.

Oh and there was also some textbook s***housery from the United captain towards Frenkie de Jong, who you may remember was heavily linked with a move to Erik ten Hag’s side last summer.

The Portugal international is enjoying a magnificent 2022/23 campaign and appears to be thriving even more in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fernandes seems to love additional responsibility and right now, there aren’t many better in his position on the planet.

And there also aren’t many footballers more popular among the United faithful.

Fernandes’ glowing reputation in the eyes of supporters was only further enhanced after Antony’s stunning winner as well.

Footage of the goal captured from the stands has unsurprisingly gone viral on social media and fans have spotted Fernandes’ actions in the immediate aftermath.
