Manchester United edged closer to the Premier League top four after defeating Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening.

And they got the result they wanted as they cruised past Steve Cooper’s side.

The Portuguese midfielder is full of confidence right now and he showed that in the closing stages of the game.

With the final whistle moments away, Fernandes decided to have some fun and attempt an audacious pass.

Bruno received the ball to feet and spotted Fred in space.

He then decided to try an outrageous ‘Rabona’ pass that looped into the air and to the feet of his Brazilian teammate.

It bought back shades of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has done multiple ‘Rabona’ passes in his career.

The pass has gone viral, with a post from Twitter user @UtdPlug attracting over 1.5k retweets and 13k ‘likes’ at the time of writing. View it below…

Marcus Rashford: I hope we can kick on now

Rashford was superb on the evening as he bagged a goal and an assist.

He spoke of his happiness with the result and performance after the match.

“I definitely enjoyed that. We are winning a lot more football games and I think the level of play has been a lot higher,”Rashford told Amazon Prime Video following the game, per Man United’s official website.

“I am happy with the way we are developing at the minute and I hope we can kick on now.”

On his own performance, he added: “I feel comfortable in those positions and I want to put myself in those positions in games.

“I want to score goals and for me if I keep getting into those positions, I have spoke to the boss about putting me into the box for corners as well.

“Usually I am on the edge of the box, but I want to be in there where the goals are scored and where we can be a threat.”
