Christian Eriksen morphed into Andres Iniesta in moment during MOTM masterclass v France

Christian Eriksen is arguably playing the best football of his distinguished career right now.

Just over a year after suffering a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, the Manchester United star is dropping masterclasses for fun.

Eriksen has been one of the Premier League’s form players so far in 2022/23 and he’s continued to dazzle on international duty.

The former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker scored an absolute stunner against Croatia last week and turned in a Man of the Match display during Denmark’s 2-0 win over France in the UEFA Nations League.

Eriksen didn’t score or assist in the match, but was a constant thorn in the world champions’ side.

He created eight chances in total, with Real Madrid pair Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni simply unable to contain him.

It really was Eriksen at his brilliant best and at one point in the match, the Dane morphed into Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.

The 30-year-old showed off some obscene close control to escape from two France players, before playing a perfect line-breaking pass with his supposedly ‘weaker’ left peg.

Check out the moment of brilliance…

What a baller he is.

In the same half, Eriksen also made Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano look rather foolish with another display of supreme skill.

The United man brought out the ‘bridge skill’ to leave the Frenchman trailing in his wake and it really was a work of art.

You’re a wizard, Christian.

Eriksen will now return to the north of England to prepare for United’s Premier League fixture away at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

If the Red Devils are to get a result at the home of their fierce rivals, they will need their new conductor-in-chief to be at the top of his game.

Eriksen has already proven this season how decisive he can be in big Premier League matches.

The midfield maestro was magnificent in the 2-1 win over Liverpool and was named Man of the Match in the 3-1 victory against Arsenal.
