David de Gea produces two insane saves for Man United against Leicester, one still needs explaining
David de Gea produced two ridiculous saves to keep Leicester City at bay in the first half at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard has saved United on so many occasions ever since he joined from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and continues to deny the opposition with fine stops.
And he was on top form in his latest outing for the Red Devils. United weren’t too convincing at the back in the opening 45 minutes and De Gea was called into action early on, thwarting Harvey Barnes from close range after he was played in behind.
He made himself big in the one-vs-one situation but then De Gea conjured up an even better save to keep out Kelechi Iheanacho.
Timothy Castagne rampaged down the right flank and clipped the ball to the far post, where the Nigerian was free and unmarked.

He headed the ball down for what look like a destined goal but De Gea sprawled across to make the most insane one-handed save.

Leicester players had their heads in their hands, in utter disbelief as to how they had not scored. And not too long after, Marcus Rashford continued his red-hot form by opening the scoring.
Bruno Fernandes fed him in behind and Rashford finished with aplomb for his 23rd goal of the season in all competitions.
But while Rashford got the plaudits, De Gea rightly received a whole lot of praise for the save of the season contender.
One wrote: “That is a save and a half from David de Gea.”
Another said: “De Gea is the best keeper in the world, just look at that save.”
A third commented: “Applause all round Old Trafford at that save. Incredible reactions from De Gea. He is producing a ridiculous catalogue this season.”
A fourth added: “De Gea could have a save of the season competition on his own at this point.”
A fifth opined: “That save is absolutely incredible De Gea, honestly think we’ve just seen one of the saves of the season from that header.”
De Gea is completely out of the picture for Spain but he continues to deliver for United and is set to sign a new contract.
