Erik ten Hag intends to take Man United job after holding positive talks
Ajax head-coach Erik ten Hag reportedly intends to take the Man United job after holding positive talks over the role.
The 52-year-old Dutch manager has seemingly emerged as the their first choice to take over at the theatre or the 2022-23 campaign, despite rumours with Mauricio Pochettino, Julen Lopetegui and Luis Enrique.
Ten Hag is already believed to have held a private talks with 20-times English champions chiefs and recently referred to Man United as a “great team with great supporters” when questioned about the rumours.
According to The Mirror, Dutchman’s interview with the Red Devils was a success, and the current Ajax head-coach would therefore be “super happy” to take charge at the 20-times English champions this summer.
Ten Hag is also rumoured to possess a release clause of just €2m (£1.68m) in his current deal with the Eredivise defending champions, with his current terms in Amsterdam set to end in 18 months.
