Fans have voted for the 20 greatest Man Utd players of all-time -Cristiano Ronaldo 13th
Cristiano Ronaldo looks to have played his final match with Manchester United.
The Portuguese legend recently gave a fiery interview with Piers Morgan where he slammed numerous figures at the club.
He slammed Erik ten Hag for his treatment of him, criticised the Glazers, mocked former boss Ralf Rangnick and called out United legends that have been spoken out against him.
United are now looking to terminate his contract. It appears his United career has come to an end and he will be on the move in January.
But, despite how it’s ended, Ronaldo has still been a wonderful servant to The Red Devils.
He helped the club to nine trophies across two spells, including three Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph.
Ronaldo has scored 145 goals in the famous red shirt.
So, where does that place him among the greatest players to ever represent the English giants?
Fans over on Ranker have been voting on the greatest players in the club’s history. View how the top 20 looks below…
Who is the greatest Man United player ever?
20. Denis Law
Law certainly deserves to be higher. He scored 237 times for the club and helped them win six trophies. He won the Ballon d’Or while at Man United in 1964.
19. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Solskjaer scored 126 times for United – the most famous being his last-gasp winner to win the Champions League in 1999.
18. Robin van Persie
A great player, but we can’t help feel that Van Persie is ranked too highly. He only played three seasons for United, scoring 58 times.
17. Ruud van Nistelrooy
The Dutchman was a goalscoring machine. He netted 150 times in 219 games for the club.
16. Nemanja Vidic
Vidic was a colossus and formed a formidable partnership with Ferdinand in the heart of United’s defence.
15. Edwin van der Sar
Van der Sar, considered one of the greatest goalkeepers of all-time, enjoyed a successful six years with United.
14. Michael Carrick
Carrick was an elegant midfielder who possessed quality in abundance but, like Van Persie, he’s perhaps ranked too highly.
13. Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo just misses out on a spot in the top 10.
12. David de Gea
De Gea has been a great servant to United. He joined the club in 2011 and remains their first-choice goalkeeper.
11. Gary Neville
Neville spent his whole career at United. He made his debut in 1992 and went on to make 602 appearances for the club.
10. Eric Cantona
You have to be good to be known as ‘King Eric’. He only played five seasons at United but what a five seasons they were.
9. Peter Schmeichel
Schmeichel played eight seasons at United and helped them win 15 trophies. He helped United to the Champions League trophy in his last game for the club in 1999.
8. Ryan Giggs
Gigg’s longevity was remarkable. He made his United debut in 1990 and, 963 appearances and countless trophies later, hung up his boots in 2014 at the age of 40.
7. Rio Ferdinand
Pace, strength, technical ability… Ferdinand had it all. A top defender.
6. Roy Keane
One of the greatest captains in football history, Keane was a driving force for United from 1993-2005.
5. George Best
Best was a flawed genius. He did remarkable things both on and off the pitch during his 11 years at United.
4. David Beckham
Beckham was primarily known for his ability at dead-ball situations but had a lot, lot more to his game.
3. Wayne Rooney
Rooney was an extraordinary player. Some people don’t give him the credit he deserves.
2. Paul Scholes
What a player. Scholes played 718 times for United, scoring 155 goals.
1. Bobby Charlton
A worthy winner. Charlton was only in his second season with the club when he survived the Munich Air Crash in 1958. He made a full recovery and went on to establish himself as arguably the greatest English footballer.
He scored 249 times in 758 appearances for the club and helped them to seven trophies.
