Former Barcelona head-coach could sign for Man Utd this summer
Spain national team and former Barcelona head-coach Luis Enrique is reportedly still firmly in the frame to become the Red Devils new boss.
Man Utd are currently in the process of appointing a new head-coach for next campaign, with Ajax’s coach Erik ten Hag and PSG’s Mauricio Pochettino viewed as the frountrunners for the role.
Enrique has also been rumoured with the position in the Red Devils, though, and according to the Daily Mail, the ex-Barcelona head coach should not be discounted.
The report suggests that the 51-year-old tactician ‘has many admirers’ among senior figures at the theater of the dreams stadium, and he is firmly in the running to be replace current interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
Enrique started his managerial career at AS Roma and Celta Vigo before making return to Barcelona and led them to the treble.
Enrique is set to lead Spain into the 2022 World Cup, which would make it tough for the Red Devils to lure him at Old Trafford this summer.
