Liverpool and Man Utd eyeing move for 27-year-old Porto midfielder
Man Utd and Liverpool are reportedly rivalling one another for the services of in-demand Porto midfielder Otavio.
The 27-year-old playmaker has enjoyed another fine season under Sergio Conceicao, founding back of the net five times and providing 12 assists in 40 games across all competitions.
Otavio’s fine form has also seen him to receive a call-up for the Portugal national team where he has scored one goal and set up another in his side’s 3-1 victory against Turkey in the World Cup 2022 playoff semi-final.
According to A Bola, both the Merseyside Reds and the Red Devils are keeping close tabs on Otavio’s progress ahead of an upcoming summer transfer window, however, the Portugal international will not arrive on the cheap.
The report claims that Otavio has been valued at a €60m (£50.4m) by Porto.
Otavio has scored 24 goals and provided 61 assists in 228 appearances for Porto since arriving from Internacional in 2014, and the Magpies have also been credited with an interest.
