Man Utd set to submit second official bid to sign Barcelona midfield star
Premier League giants, Manchester United are planning to make second official bid to secure the services of Frenkie de Jong after seeing £86million bid rejected.
Spanish heavyweights turned down the Red Devils opening offer for the Dutchman, which was around £51m.
Though the Catalan giants,are happy to sell De Jong, however, they are demanding £86m for their star player.
The 20-times English champions want a deal that reflects the Catalan giants desire to sell former Ajax midfielder and they are therefore holding out for a deal closer to their initial bid
However, the Manchester Evening News reports a new, improved bid is ‘imminent’ and that the Red Devils will submit it within days.
It stays to be seen whether Xavi’s side will accept the offer, however, the club have to sell players in order to lure top-class player like Robert Lewandowski at Nou Camp.
Man Utd are yet to make their first summer signing as they are fully focused on negotiations for De Jong.
Christian Eriksen and Ajax winger Antony are two big names to rumoured with a switch to Old Trafford.
