Manchester United offered chance to sign Barcelona defender Sergino Dest

Barcelona have reportedly offered USA international defender Sergino Dest to Man Utd.

Although the 21-year-old right-back has no plans to depart from the Catalan giants, his future has come into question following to a lack of first-team minutes since Xavi took reigns at Old Trafford.

Dest has started only six games for the Spanish giants in 2022, with veteran right-back Dani Alves was preferred on the right side of the defence.

According to 90min, the Catalan giants have told USA international defender that he is free to find a new team this summer, with agents of the Spanish outfit holding talks with potential suitors.

The report claims that the 20-times English champions have been offered the chance to secure the services of the USA international, with new manager Erik ten Hag contemplating the addition of a new right-back in the upcoming summer trnasfer window.

Man Utd are believed to be open to letting Aaron Wan-Bissaka depart from the club either permanently or on an initial loan deal, which could pave the way for Dest to make a switch to Old Trafford.
