Marseille reach agreement to sign Man Utd 28-year-old defender
Marseille have reportedly reached a ‘full agreement’ to secure the transfer of Man Utd centre-back Eric Bailly.
The 28-year-old defender has not been involved for the 20-times English Champions in the early stages of the 2022-23 season, having allegedly been informed that he is free to depart from the team this summer.
There has been a host of rumours surrounding the Ivorian defenders future recently, with Serie A giants AS Roma and AC Milan have expressed interest in his signature.
However, talk of a move to Ligue 1 giants, Marseille has intensified in recent days, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the French giants have now come to an agreement with the Red Devils.
Romano reports that the deal will be an initial loan, however, it will include option to make his move permanent ahead of the next season.,
The Italian journalist claims that personal terms are currently being discussed, and the deal will be officially announced within days.
The 28-year-old centre-back only played seven games for the Red Devils during the 2021-22 season, with just four of those outings coming in the English top-iter.
The defender still has another two years left before his deal expires at Old Trafford.
