Sensational Marcus Rashford for England compilation proves he should be at the World Cup
The Manchester United forward missed this month’s UEFA Nations League games with Italy and Germany through injury.
Rashford has started this season well, helping United to four consecutive Premier League wins with three goals.
It’s a return to form for the 24-year-old, who had a poor season in 21/22 as United recorded their lowest-ever Premier League points tally.
England looked toothless in Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Italy and they’ve gone 450 minutes without a goal from open play. Rashford has scored 12 goals for England in 46 appearances and provides a different kind of threat.

His pace in behind will cause any team problems and he’s in better goalscoring form than a number of attackers selected.
The compilation has over 20,000 likes at the time of writing, one of those being teammate Jadon Sancho, and supporters are hoping Rashford returns to the squad for this winter’s World Cup in Qatar.
One person commented: “I forgot how good Rashford was at driving and dribbling man, I hope he brings this back.”
Another said: “How on earth can you watch this and think Rashford is mid?”
A third put: “One of England’s best wingers, Southgate needs to be playing him.”
While someone tweeted: “Marcus is such a special player. Genuinely terrifying.”
Rashford hasn’t played for England since the Euro 2020 final 14 months ago and manager Gareth Southgate says he does have a shot of being at the World Cup in November.
He explained: “There were certain players we wanted to keep involved this time but that said it doesn’t mean that this is the end for some of the others who aren’t involved.
“Marcus Rashford, for example, has shown some encouraging signs recently.
“He is a player we know well so if he can perform at a high level in the next few weeks, he of course will be under consideration.”
England return to action on Monday evening against Germany, having already suffered relegation from Nations League Group A.
